Uplifting music and faith-based programming. WHYZ 91.1 FM brings the Contemporary Christian sound of Z88.3 to Palm Coast, Flagler County and Florida's northeast coast.
📻 History: WHYZ 91.1 FM is a Class C3 Christian station licensed to Palm Coast, Florida, in Flagler County. The call sign WHYZ was assigned on October 24, 2008, when the facility was still a construction permit held by Central Florida Educational Foundation, Inc., the nonprofit behind the Z88.3 network and headed by its president, James S. Hoge.
FCC records show the station was licensed on August 25, 2010, and a 2011 trip report on Florida's east coast describes it as having signed on only a few months earlier, from a site east of I-95 just south of Bunnell, relaying Orlando's Contemporary Christian station WPOZ.
Today WHYZ broadcasts at 9,200 watts ERP from an antenna 49 meters (161 feet) above average terrain, and it also transmits in HD Radio. Its HD2 channel feeds FM translator W278BP at 103.5 FM in Palm Coast. WPOZ, the Z88.3 flagship, signed on August 14, 1995, and WHYZ extends that service to Palm Coast, Flagler County and northeast Volusia County. It is owned by Central Florida Educational Foundation and operated by Z Ministries, Inc.
