Uplifting music and faith-based programming. WCYZ 99.7 FM brings the Contemporary Christian sound of Z88.3 to Ocala and all of Marion County.
📻 History: WCYZ 99.7 FM is a Class A Christian adult contemporary station licensed to Ocala, Florida, and part of the Z88.3 network. Its call letters stand for "CathY Z88.3", a tribute to a long-serving volunteer and employee of the ministry. Before the current format, the 99.7 signal was WGMA.
In 2014 the signal was part of a Gold 99 adult-standards service that expanded into the Gainesville and Ocala area. On June 6, 2016, WGMA and its Gainesville counterpart WGMW both moved from adult standards to soft adult contemporary.
In 2022 Central Florida Educational Foundation, the nonprofit behind Z88.3, arranged a swap that brought both signals into its network. On September 1, 2022 the Ocala station changed its call sign to WCYZ, and the acquisition closed on September 30, 2022. Today it is operated by Z Ministries, Inc. and broadcasts at 2,000 watts ERP, simulcasting the Contemporary Christian music of Z88.3. Its sister station in Gainesville is WHGV 99.5 FM, which carries Hot 95.9.
